Using a new technology for oil gasification
“Saudi Aramco” announced the signing of an agreement with “Shell Global Solutions International” Company whereby the second gets a license to use the technology of converting oil to gas in order to establish the largest factory in the world for oil gasification with a refining capacity of 400 barrels of oil a day.
On the other hand, the Gazan city is being currently developed to be a new economic city. A new refinery will be constructed 70 kilometers off north of Gazan as well as the Gazan station for generating energy which is powered by gasification through the combined cycle. The station project will provide electricity for the refinery. Under the agreement, “Shell” will provide technology for the largest oil gasification unit in the world.
