Dana Gas launches natural gas production operations from two wells in Egypt

According to what is published by Arqam website, Dana Gas – listed in the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange – launched natural gas production operations from the “Aleem 1” and “West Sama 1” wells in the Nile Delta in Egypt after about two months of the initial testing.

The mentioned wells are considered among three wells discovered by the company during 2012. Dana Gas plans to begin production operations from the third field which is “Balsam 1” well by the second half of the current year 2013.

The company sources announced that the gas production operations from “Aleem 1” were linked to the company plant in the south of Al Manzala, while “West Sama 1” well production operations were linked to the Al Wastani gas plant. The company CEO says that both wells will contribute to increasing the company production size by 20 million cubic feet per day, which will provide additional production quantities that will meet the growing demand in the Egyptian market.
