ADGAS to shut down two LNG trains for scheduled maintenance

ADGAS of Abu Dhabi is planning to shut down two production trains at its liquefaction plant on Das Island for maintenance.
According to sources, ADGAS will leave one train in operation while shutting down two trains from March 15 to April 19, Reuters reports. The two trains were commissioned in 1977, each with an operating capacity of 180 tons of LNG per hour.
A long-term contract with Tokyo Electric Power meant the company added a third production train in 1994, pushing up the capacity to 8 mtpa of LNG.
